Does Google Worry About Spelling and Capitalization?

By , About.com Guide

What happens if you accidentally hit the Caps Lock on your computer when searching on Google? Are all your search efforts in vain? Nope. Google's search is not case-sensitive, so if you want to search for "poodles", you could capitalize to your heart's content, even go a little nuts:

  • POODLES or PooDleS or POODLEs

In addition, if you are a poor speeler, than you've got a friend in Google. This search engine politely asks you if you really meant "camping gear" instead of "cramping geer", which, of course, you actually did.
