2011 About Web Search Readers' Choice Awards - The Winners!

The race for Best Search Engine was a close one, with two nominees within only a few votes of each other throughout the entire voting period. With 48% of the vote, relative search newcomer DuckDuckGo beat out search behemoth Google, who came in with 45% of the total vote.

While DuckDuckGo might not be the household name that Google is, it does boast an enthusiastic fanbase that voted its unique search features, relevant results, and innovative search shortcuts straight to the top. Read more about DuckDuckGo.
