There's a lot of conversations going on over at Twitter, and some of those conversations center around finances: investments, stocks, financial markets, etc. You can use StockTwits, a simple discussion tracker, to follow Twitter conversations that are about specific stocks, and get a good sense as to where these stocks might be going (up, down, or nowhere in particular).
Sign up for a StockTwits account (it's free), and then track discussions around stocks you're interested in. You can sort the discussions by creating watch lists, tracking real-time streams, see what traders and investors are chatting about, or share your own stock ideas. Certainly, StockTwits shouldn't substitute for official financial management or investment advice, but it's definitely a fantastic way to eavesdrop on a ton of really useful information that you might be able to use to beef up your stock portfolio.
