Watch indie movies at The Auteurs

If you're a fan of independent, art house movies that are VERY difficult to find playing in your local area, then you will love The Auteurs, a site brainstormed by (among others) noted filmmaker Martin Scorsese to make these kind of films accessible to anyone who wants to watch them, anywhere they might be.

You'll find all sorts of great films here, from 2001: A Space Odyssey to Seven Samurai. Most films are instantly viewable online in your browser, many are absolutely free to watch while others cost $5, a bargain for these kind of movies (and by the way, they look fantastic, too).

The Auteurs isn't just about watching great indie films, though. You can also create a profile on the site that you can use to connect with other movie buffs, as well as rate and review movies. In other words, it's a social networking community based around a great (and growing) collection of independently made films that you won't find in your local cinema. Check it out and see what you think!
