google chrome Google has unveiled a new Web browser named Google Chrome; you can download it here: Download Google Chrome.

Now, if you're satisfied with your Web browser, whether it be Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, etc., then you probably want to give Google Chrome a pass. However, I thought it would be fun to try out just to see what Google is up to. Here's a couple things that I liked about Google Chrome:

  • Search suggestions and URL's are in the same place, so if I'm trying to find a website but can't quite remember the full address, Google Chrome helps me out.
  • Lots of really useful application shortcuts that allow me to open my favorite sites with a touch of a button.
  • VERY fast - I tested Google Chrome on a few websites that have slow load time and they opened up lickety-split.
My first impressions of Google Chrome? It's a simple, well-designed browser that does what it's supposed to do. However, I've got Firefox so customized to my own specific tastes that I don't see myself switching over completely. How about you?
