Presenting: delicious 2.0 (finally!)

Friday August 1, 2008
delicious

I've been a part of delicious, the phenomenal social bookmarking service, since just after its inception in 2003 (if you don't know what delicious is, please check out What is delicious?), and while I appreciated the very Craigslist - ish interface, I was glad to see that this great site got a wee bit of an overhaul yesterday, not to mention a new name (from del.icio.us to simply delicious). Actually, make that a HUGE overhaul - and it looks great!

If you're a delicious user, you'll be happy to know that none of your favorite features have changed one bit....it's just a new look, and it's even easier (and more powerful!) to use now. Want to learn more about delicious? Here you go:

  • How to Use Delicious: del.icio.us is a social bookmarks manager. It allows you to easily add sites you like to your personal collection of links, to categorize those sites with keywords, and to share your collection not only between your own browsers and machines, but also with others.
  • Top Ten Social Bookmarking Sites: What are social bookmarking sites? Basically, these are sites that allow users to post their favorite sites, using tags (or keywords) to categorize and organize them; then other users can take these bookmarks and add them to their own collection or share them with even more users. Here are some of my favorite social bookmarking sites that I use every single day.
