Publish and share documents with Scribd

Monday May 19, 2008
scribd If you're looking for a place to find:
  • Free sheet music
  • Free eBooks
  • Art, maps, poetry, research, fan fiction, etc.
Well, then - you'd better head on over to Scribd, a "free, web-based, document sharing community and self-publishing platform that enables anyone to easily publish, distribute, share, and discover documents of all kinds." You could think of Scribd as your own personal library on the Web. I've already found some great piano sheet music that I plan on downloading and trying out today!

More ways to share on the Web

  • Top Ten Social Bookmarking Sites: What are social bookmarking sites? Basically, these are sites that allow users to post their favorite sites, using tags (or keywords) to categorize and organize them; then other users can take these bookmarks and add them to their own collection or share them with even more users. Here are some of my favorite social bookmarking sites that I use every single day.
  • Share Your iPhone Photos at Natuba: Natuba is an image sharing site specifically aimed at the iPhone crowd.
  • Share2Me: Share2me is a free browser plug-in that allows you to share your favorite stuff on the Web with your friends across a variety of platforms with just one click.
  • Wists: Wists provides a way to find interesting stuff on the Web and visually bookmark it. You can also browse within the Wists community and bookmark other peoples' finds, if you want.
  • Share and Store Files Online with Drop.io: If you have a file you need to share online - any kind of file - and you'd like to keep it private, try Drop.io: a free storage service that lets you store files quickly and privately.

I’ll be especially excited about the free sheet music.
