Free Downloadable Music on the Web

Free downloadable music on the Web really does exist; as long as you're willing to listen to music other than what's on the radio and top 40 (for the most part). Here are a few places on the Web where you can find free music downloads in my article titled Free Downloadable Music on the Web.

More Free Music: There are lots of places you can find free downloadable music on the Web; lately since I've gotten a new MP3 player, I've had fun finding all sorts of new and fun music sources:

  • Find Free MIDI Files on the Web: Want to find free MIDI files to use as background music for your Web site? I've found a few sites that have plenty of free MIDI files for you.
  • Listen to Free Music Online with Pandora: Pandora is a free way to listen to music online, but not just ANY music. You create your own radio stations, you choose which music will actually be played on those stations, so if something comes up that makes your ears want to bleed, you can tell Pandora to stop playing it (and they will apologize, too).
  • Free MP3 Music Download at GarageBand: One of the best places on the Web that I've found to find great independent music and free MP3 downloads is at GarageBand, a great indie music online community.
  • Amazon.com Free Music Downloads: Top Downloads: Get free music - that's right, free music - at Amazon.com Free Music Downloads: Top Downloads. No, these aren't Top 40, but there is still a ton of really good music here.
