One of my favorite Web sites, Listible, has an excellent list going on right now of the best examples of great Web design. Some of these include:
- Google: We probably forget how simple and clean Google's design really is because we use it so much.
- css Zen Garden: I drool over the gorgeous designs here.
- OrderedList: Nice, clean, simple, uncluttered.

Your link to “good web design” is deficient and highly questionable. I don’t appreciate searching for “well designed websites” at work and clicking on a link that’s actually porn and not an example of good web design! What is that?! That’s messed up.
