Hoping for a White Christmas? Check Weather.com

Wednesday December 7, 2005
As I was idly fiddling with various online weather reports yesterday, vainly trying to get the one that would tell me yes, Wendy, it will snow soon, I stumbled upon the White Christmas Forecast, otherwise known as "How to Get Your Hopes Way, Way Up."

Basically, this is a weather forecast based on the historical probability of a white Christmas for your area. You can also view the US snowfall forecast, the North Pole Satellite Image, or the forecasted North Pole temperatures. So far things are looking promising snow-wise for my neck of the woods - how about you?

Related:: I usually use Yahoo Weather to get my weather forecast; it's accurate and I don't have to sit through annoying chit-chat. In addition, the National Geographic Map Machine is a great place to find not only weather maps, but atlases, world maps, road maps, and a lot more.

Our radio show, the 16 Kicks Garage Sale, has absolutely guaranteed a White Christmas. There is no need to have your hopes for a White Christmas dashed if you live in the Denver Metro area. This guarantee goes against the predictions of local meteorologists, and flies in the face of historical data. The complete details are on our home page. Entries are flooding in from local residents who want to make sure the Snowman stops by their house. If you want snow at your place, and you live in the Denver Metro area, just send a picture of your house, all decorated for the holidays, with a brief note telling us why you want a White Christmas. The snail mail address, and email address are found at 16 Kicks Garage Sale website
