Yahoo Farechase Beta

Yahoo is the topic du jour, as I just found an email from Yahoo Farechase in my email, very convenient as I'm currently scouting out airfare for Search Engine Strategies in two weeks. Wait a second; let me dance the happy dance....okay, done. Seriously, I'm so excited about this conference. I'll be blogging and doing picture galleries every night there; I'll write more as it gets closer to the event.

Anywho, back to Yahoo Farechase. What it is:

"Yahoo! FareChase is not a travel agency, it is a search engine designed to save you both time and money by providing you with comparison shopping options from travel providers and other popular travel websites."

There are a lot of travel sites included in Yahoo Farechase, and you can check them all out at the Farechase FAQ. I like how the progress bar shows me what hotel or airfare prices are coming up; however, at this writing I couldn't figure out how to combine a search for hotel and flight. It seems possible to check hotels by airport destination, but unless there's some secret sauce that I'm not privy to, I can't combine anything. Hopefully this will be something that will be improved in the very near future.
