How To Find a Date

By , About.com Guide

Need to find a date for a particular holiday or special event? Here are a few Web search tips that can help you find a date quickly and easily.
Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: Five minutes
Here's How:
  1. If you're looking for the date of a holiday: in Google,Yahoo, or Ask, you can type in the name of the holiday followed by a year; i.e., valentines day 2020.
  2. If you're looking for the date of a season: Your best bet is Ask. Just type in the name of the season you're looking for into the Ask search bar, and you'll get back specific information along with related resources.
  3. If you're looking for historical dates: Again, Ask is going to be your best bet for quick answers (try typing in "civil war" to Ask.com and you'll see what I mean). You'll also be able to find quick answers for historical dates at MSN Live Search.
  4. If you're looking for a calendar date: This one is a little bit more tricky. Try the search string year calendar (i.e., 2020 calendar) in any of the search engines already mentioned in this article, and you'll get relevant results within the first three search results returned. In addition, you can get results for specific days by entering in the date you're looking for at MSN Live Search.
