About Web Search 2010 Reader's Choice Awards

As we enter a new year, it's time to pay tribute to those sites that played a part in making the Web more accessible, more useful, more connected, and heck, just more fun. In order to accomplish this here at About Web Search, I invite you to participate in the 2010 Reader's Choice Awards, a reader-nominated awards program that aims to pick the best sites from a variety of categories. Here's how it works:

Starting January 1 through January 25, you will be able to nominate your favorite sites in ten different categories:

• Best Multimedia Site
• Best Kids Web Resource
• Best Reference Site
• Best Shopping Site
• Best Job Site
• Best News Site
• Best Travel Site
• Best Humor Site
• Best Search Engine
• Best Blog

From February 1-24, you will be able to vote for your favorite site from the list of nominations.

Winners will be announced March 1.

Are there prizes? Nope - just the satisfaction of seeing your favorite site recognized by one of the largest technology networks on the Web.
