Definition: A tag cloud is the phrase used to describe a large number of "tags", terms describing content within a website. A tag cloud can be as simple or as ornate as the Web designer wants it to be. Most tag clouds display a number of tags that are in a variety of different font sizes; the larger the font, the more popular that particular tag is on the Web site. A tag cloud is a very convenient way for Web searchers to see at a glance which topics are the most searched for on the site.
