The Basics of Keyword Research

In order for your site to be found by search engines and search engine users, it's very important to spend time on keyword research. Use these guidelines for basic keyword research:

• Be obvious.If you have a website about beaded jewelry, don't use "dichroic glass" unless you actually have dichroic glass jewelry ON your site. Be specific and relevant.
• Use likely words.Use words on your site that people are looking for. If your bead site has "handcrafted leather charms", use those words instead of "cool necklaces".
• Be specific."Pewter pendants" gets more results than "pretty bracelet".
