IconFinder: an Icon Search Engine:

Find icons quickly and easily with IconFinder, a search engine focused specifically on finding small images you can use for various projects.

How to Find Icons with IconFinder:

First, navigate to IconFinder.

Next, type in what kind of icon you're looking for. If you're not sure what you're looking for, you'll want to browse the IconFinder sets.

In the search results, every icon will come back with a specific set of information. You'll see different download formats (PNG, ICO), along with who the designer is, what kind of license it's attributed to (this will determine your use), size, if it's attached to a larger set of icons, and tags that describe the icon.

If you decide to download an icon, simply click on the image and you'll be able to download the image directly to your computer. Be sure to double-check the licensing on any image you decide to use to make sure it's properly credited.

Special IconFinder Search Tips

  • Use the iconset: command to browse the entire icon set collection. Example: "iconset:iphone".
  • Want to search for multiple icons in one set? Use commas; i.e., iconset: iphone, apple, mac.
  • use the search refiners on the search results page. You can filter your icon results by how many results show up on the page, background color, size, and license.
