Google Phonebook Operator

By

Definition: The Google phonebook operator is a search command used within Google to access publicly listed telephone numbers (limited to United States telephone listings only).

Using the phonebook operator is simple: type in phonebook:John Smith Detroit Michigan, and Google will return all listings correlating to that request including names, phone numbers, and addresses.

As of November 2010, the Google phonebook operator is no longer in service; however, searchers can still use Google to find phone numbers and addresses. See How to Use the Web for a Free Reverse Phone Lookup for more information.
