How do I use Google SearchWiki?

Remember those three extra features - the up arrow, the down arrow, and the conversation cloud? Here's how to use them.

The SearchWiki Up Arrow

Say you search for "green widgets" on a regular basis, and your favorite result for "green widgets" is always on the second page of your Google search results. With Google SearchWiki, you can click the up arrow, and your favorite result will now be in the number one spot on the front page of your Google search results.

How about the SearchWiki down arrow?

The down arrow will actually remove results from your Google search queries. These results won't be gone forever; you can recover them later if you wish simply by clicking on the text link at the bottom of the page that says "You have removed results from this page."

Does everyone see how I've changed the Google search results?

No. Your changes can only be seen by you.

What's with that conversation cloud?

Maybe you love your result for "green widgets" so much that you would like to make a comment about it. You can do this simply by clicking on that conversation cloud. Note: your comments ARE public.
