Master Password Option in the Firefox Browser

Set Your Security Settings in Firefox

Setting your Master Password in Firefox is the perfect option for anyone who wants to keep the username and passwords of where they go on the Web, but don't want other people who use that computer to access that information. Here's how you do it. First, as in the previous two steps, you'll need to navigate to Tools, then Options, but then we go to Saved Passwords, then Set Master Password.
  • This screenshot above is a picture of the Master Password window. All you need to do here is figure out a unique Master password that will enable you, and only you, to access your saved usernames and passwords in Firefox.
  • Make sure that you remember your Master Password. If you forget it for some reason, you won't be able to get in to change it or any other passwords and usernames.
  • When you're making up your Master Password, you'll see the nifty Password Quality Meter which judges whether or not your password meets common security standards. For instance, "mypassword" probably is not going to get high ratings here.
Let's go on to Download Manager History.
