Learn More About Askville by Amazon

What is Askville?

Amazon's Askville is similar to Yahoo Answers: it's a place where you can ask questions of the community at large, and the community answers you.

How do I ask a question at Askville?

Very simple. You'll need to create an Askville account in order to ask a question; or, since Askville is part of Amazon, you can just sign in with your Amazon log-in. You then create a question, giving as much detail as possible within 120 characters, give it a category, and then pop it out to the Askville community.

Your question will stay "live" for 7 days, and you can receive up to five answers.

How do I answer a question at Askville?

Again, simple. However, everytime you answer a question, you'll get experience points. These experience points gradually add up, and Askville stacks users by level according to their experience points.

Do I get rewards for participating in Askville?

Just like Amazon's A9.com search referral program that earns money for your Amazon purchases, Askville eventually plans on giving out something called Quest Coins for giving out exceptionally good answers. You can keep track of your Quest Coins at questville.com.
