What is Zillow?

Zillow is a great (free!) service that allows you find your estimated home price, along with many other home appraisal services.

How does Zillow work?

For buyers: You can use Zillow to find maps of the neighborhood you're interested in, along with estimated home values. You'll also be able to see recently sold homes and how much they went for (that can give you an idea of what price range you should be aiming for). Try the Zillow Zestimate, an estimate of the home's asking price vs. the appraised value.

For sellers: One of the most useful Zillow services is the Zestimator, a tool that helps you figure out the estimated market value of your home. You can also use the Zindex, a widget that helps you determine how your home value compares to others in your neighborhood.
