How to Get a Free Trial of Photoshop

You can download Photoshop free for seven days

You can try out Adobe Photoshop for free by downloading a trial version for your Windows or Mac computer. This trial includes all the same features and tools as the full version, but will expire after seven days. This is a great way to test out Photoshop and see if it meets your needs without having to spend any money. Photoshop is the industry standard for image editing, so it's definitely worth giving it a try.

Dozens of free online image editors have similar features as Photoshop but without the time restriction. We also keep a list of free downloadable photo editors that you can use in place of Adobe's.

How to Get a Free Trial of Photoshop

Although the whole installation process takes a little while to complete, nearly all of it is automated, which means you have to click through just a few screens to install Photoshop.

Be sure to use the trial when you'll be most apt to try out all the features. After having the Photoshop free trial for seven days, you cannot install the trial again, regardless of whether you actually used it every day during the free period.

  1. Open the Adobe Photoshop product page, and select Free trial.

  2. Log in if you're asked, or create an account with Adobe if you don't have one.

  3. Select Photoshop (or Creative Cloud All Apps if you'd rather also start a trial for other Adobe apps), then choose a subscription length and then Continue.

You won't be charged right now as long as the DUE NOW price says $0.00. However, you'll have to cancel the trial before the seven days are up (this is explained below) unless you want to pay to continue using Photoshop beyond the trial.

  5. Select Get Started on the thank you page.

  6. Save the Photoshop installer to your computer when prompted to do so, and then open it. Photoshop will install through the Creative Cloud app.

Your computer needs at least 8 GB of RAM and over 4 GB of free hard drive space in order to use Photoshop. You should check the remaining free space on your hard drive before moving forward.

  7. Select Continue in Adobe Creative Cloud.
