Newsvine Now Open To The Public

Friday March 3, 2006
Newsvine, a "place to read, write, and discuss the news," is now out of beta and open to the general public. And who wouldn't love their tagline - "Get Smarter Here." More from the site:
"At Newsvine, you can read stories from established media organizations like the Associated Press as well as individual contributors from all around the world. Placement of stories is determined by a multitude of factors including freshness, popularity, and reputation. Contribution is open to all, and editorial judgement is in the hands of the community."
Looks to be a well put together site; so head on over and give it a try and then let us know about how you like it in the comments section below.

More News:

  • Topix.net: Topix is an immense news site that is a combination news search engine and news aggregator. Find out why this particular search tool is now one of my favorite Web destinations.
  • Find Newspapers on the Web: You don’t have to go to the corner anymore in your bathrobe, or look for spare change under the couch cushions to get your daily news.
  • Natural Disaster News On The Web: Search for news, history, and research information about natural disasters worldwide.
  • News From Iraq on the Web: Finding current news about Iraq and the United States military presence there on the Web is easy with my list of resources.
