Games for the Brain - Fun Site of the Day

Saturday July 16, 2005
Okay, I know what you're thinking: whenever somebody tries to get cute and make educational games "fun", we inevitably end up with something kind of pathetic, but we keep playing, because dang it we're going to learn something.

That's why Games for the Brain is a breath of fresh air in the otherwise stagnant, too full of cute little bunnies or rapping aliens field. Here's a few tidbits to tempt you:

Mastermind: After you memorized the images, one will be replaced and all positions are shuffled. You then pick the one image that was replaced for 10 points.

I Will Read Your Mind: Card game that is Full Of Magical Goodness.

What Was There? This game trains your brain by letting you memorize an image or a video, to which you will be asked questions after the image disappears. Right answers increase your score by 10 points.

Related: Have fun and learn something at the same time with the Google Quiz, the Search Engine Quiz, or the July Scavenger Hunt.
