Amazon Unveils New Search Engine
Friday September 17, 2004
Amazon is one of those sites that I could easily spend hours at, and quite often do. I buy books, download (free!) indie music, sell old textbooks, and make wish lists of stuff I would love to buy someday (full DVD set of "Starblazers", anyone?). Now, they are entering the search engine market with their new A9 engine. Its' algorithms and database are based on the same designs as Google's, but Amazon has added a few of it's own nifty new features; including a way to keep a history of past searches. I plan on giving it a try.
