Search for timezones all over the world on the Web

Follow me on:

what time is itIf you need to know the time, anywhere in the world, then there's no need to call that weird voice recording that tells you your local time (only) "after the beep". Nope - you can use your handy dandy favorite search engine to do this for you - for example purposes, I'll use Google, Bing, Ask, Wolfram Alpha, and Yahoo to plug in the following search queries:

  • What time is it in Hawaii?
  • What time is it in London?
  • What time is it in Iraq?
  • What time is it in Australia?
  • What time is it in Japan?

Here's an example of what all five search engines put out for these questions.

Google

what time is it in hawaii

Yahoo

what time is it in iraq

Bing

what time is it in london

Ask

what time is it in australia

Wolfram Alpha

what time is it in japan

Neat, huh? Now, with the exception of Bing, all of these search engines will allow for pretty much ANY "what time is it" query, anywhere in the world (Bing only produced instant results for the London search).
