Most kids in the United States are celebrating Veterans Day by taking the day off of school (I've got three snoring upstairs right this minute). Here's a few Web sites that I highly recommend for getting more information about Veterans Day:

- American from the Great Depression to World War I-Color Photographs: "A significant number of the color photographs concern the mobilization effort for World War II and portray aircraft manufacturing, military training, and the nation's railroads."
- Veterans Day from the Veterans Affairs Department: A wealth of good information here, including a Veteran's Day Gallery.
- Veterans History Project: Stories of American wartime experiences as told through personal narratives, World War II collections, and the Veterans History Project companion book site. You can also search the veterans history database for information on American veterans and wars of the 21st century.
