Find a recipe with Recipe Puppy

Follow me on:

recipe puppy Need to find a recipe, but don't want to go shopping? You'll want to try Recipe Puppy, a recipe search engine that searches by ingredient. For example, say you want pork chop recipes. Recipe Puppy will retrieve all sorts of great pork chop recipes for you, which isn't too big a deal, but wait - you can take away ingredients in these recipes that you don't have on hand, say, green peppers.

Here's how you'd do that. In the "Search by Ingredients" field, you're going to do a little basic search math:

That's "pork chops,-peppers"; I'm telling Recipe Puppy that I want pork chops included in the ingredients, but NOT peppers. In the Search by Keyword field, I type in "pork chops":

And voila! Recipe Puppy brings back pork chop recipes without peppers. This is a great tool to clean out your pantry!
