Use a Search Engine to Find Movie Showtimes

Thursday July 30, 2009
You can use Google, Yahoo, MSN, and Ask to find a movie or movie theater with showtimes near you. In fact, I used Google to find an early showing for "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" yesterday afternoon (my second time!). Find out more in my Web Search Tip of the Day titled Movie Search.

More Movies: There's lots of ways you can find free movies, movie trailers, and other fun multimedia on the Web. Here's a few resources that can help you:

  • Free Movie Downloads: Here are some movie sites where you can download free movies; they are all free, all legal, and feature hundreds of high-quality movie clips and full-length movies, as well as many short videos.
  • Top Ten Viral Videos: Here are some of the top viral videos around the Web today. A viral video is a video that has been passed around many times and has gained popularity largely by word of mouth, email, instant messaging, or online bulletin boards, rather than a publicity campaign.
  • Video Search Engines and Directories: Find what you're looking for with these specialized video search engines and directories.
