Keep track of warranties with Warranty Elephant
Tuesday June 30, 2009
If you've ever lost a warranty, forgot about a warranty until it was too late, or forgot exactly what your warranty covers, you will love Warranty Elephant, a free site which will send you reminders of your warranty expiration dates and keep track of your warranty information for a variety of different products and services. Here's how Warranty Elephant works:
- Register at Warranty Elephant (it's free).
- Get your pertinent warranties together and enter in the information Warranty Elephant asks for. You can just enter in the manufacturer, product, and warranty period, or you can choose to enter in more (serial number, etc.).
- If you don't want the hassle of remembering where you have stored your warranty documents, scan them in and upload them to Warranty Elephant's secure server, where you can look at them with a touch of the button later.
- Warranty Elephant will send you email reminders about your warranty expiration date at 6 months, 1 month and 1 week before your warranty expires. This will help you remember to check your item and make sure it's in good working order; if not, you can use that warranty.
That's pretty much it! Warranty Elephant is one of those useful and basic Web services that make you scratch your head and say "now why didn't I think of that?"
