Wednesday January 14, 2009
Want to listen to your favorite music - just the way you want it, in the exact song order that you want it? You'll want to check out MixTube, a free site that helps you create playlists from YouTube videos. Here's how it works:
- Go to the create a playlist page.
- Give your playlist a name. You'll want to have a tab for YouTube open so you can add the URLs of your favorite songs.
- And that's about it. Here's my MixTube: Morning Mix.
More music
- Free Music Downloads: Free music downloads on the Web really does exist; as long as you're willing to listen to music other than what's on the radio and top 40 (for the most part). Here are a few places on the Web where you can find free music downloads.
- Find high quality music videos at PluggedIn: PluggedIn offers thousands of really high quality music videos (a lot of them are recorded in HD format) from tons of your favorite artists. For instance, I found Amy Winehouse, Mindy Smith, Beck, and more. Definitely worth a visit.
- If You Can Hum a Tune, You Can Find Music with Midomi: Have you ever gotten a song in your head, but you can't for the life of you remember what the name of that song is? A new service called Midomi aims to solve this problem in a VERY creative way: you actually sing or hum the tune of the song you're thinking of into your computer's microphone, and Midomi will attempt to match that ditty up with its database of over two million songs.
