The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

Monday November 10, 2008
Tomb of the Unknown SoldierHave you ever wondered what the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is? According to the website of the Arlington National Cemetery, where the tomb resides, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier contains remains from unidentified soldiers killed in action from World Wars 1 and 2, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. It's a way to honor those who made the greatest sacrifice. Here's more about the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier:
  • Society of the Honor Guard: "The Society of The Honor Guard, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is a non-profit association organized expressly for and wholly committed to protecting and enhancing the welfare and image of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the soldiers who stand guard, past and present."
  • Tomb of the Unknown Soldier: great panoramic photos of the Tomb, including the guards.
  • A Visitor's Guide to Arlington National Cemetery: Get information before you go, including hours, tour information, and informative photos.
