Over the past few years, I've had literally hundreds of requests to help find someone online. Unfortunately, I can't help every single person individually, which is why I wrote Find Someone, a step by step guide to finding someone online.
This article is for people who know they want to find someone, but they don't really know how to go about it. I've broken down this process into practical steps that you can do in order (you'll get the most bang for your buck this way), or just the way you see fit. If you're trying to find someone on the Web, this definitely is the article I would suggest you read first.

Last winter I put a list on my myspace profile of people I wanted to find, and one of them contacted me almost immediately. She had Googled her own name and my profile came up. We’re childhood friends and I had no idea where she was, so it was a method that worked great in that situation.
I have had luck with Facebook and My Space, but there are some friends I’d still like to find, so these tips are great!
