Play with hotspots at MSN Live Search

Thursday July 31, 2008
msn live search

If you visit the home page of MSN Live Search today, you're going to notice a few changes: namely, hotspots. These hotspots can be found by moving your mouse around the home page. Once you find a hotspot, you'll see a small pop-up that invites you to investigate something you might not have thought of otherwise.

This is a really great idea, mostly because it helps people to explore the Web past what their search to-do list might dictate. Try it out and tell me what you think.

More ways to explore the Web

  • StumbleUpon: The best social bookmarking and general Web exploration tool that I've come across lately is definitely Stumbleupon.
  • How to Find the Best Search Engine: Not all search engines return the same results. Explore a few new search engines, and see a different side of the Web.

Actually I like the idea a lot and invariably keep going back to the live search home page every day to check the image and the hotspots
