One of the most popular sites on the Web right now is the WorldWide Telescope, a service from Microsoft that "enables your computer to function as a virtual telescope, bringing together imagery from the best ground and space-based telescopes in the world for a seamless exploration of the universe." Sounds pretty cool, right? Well, it is, and it's completely free, and it's amazing. AMAZING. You'll definitely want to take a tour of the stuff you'll be able to see: the Earth at night, Mars, distant galaxies, and lots more. However, here's a fair bit of warning.....it's completely addictive and you'll probably not get any work done today once you've started playing with it. However!
