Happy 15th Birthday, World Wide Web! World Wide Web History

Monday August 7, 2006

Today, August 6th, is the 15th birthday of the World Wide Web - and that's because today Sir Tim Berners-Lee took the time to officially let other people know about his "little" project that "aims to allow links to be made to any destination anywhere". And how far we've come in such a short time: literally millions of websites, people connecting in all sorts of ways all over the world, all kinds of information available, even fascinating stuff like volcanic resources. Amazing!
