Google Notebook is Live
From the Official Google Blog, Google Notebook is now live. What IS it, exactly? More from the site:
"Google Notebook makes web research of all kinds-from planning a vacation to researching a school paper to buying a car-easier and more efficient by enabling you to clip and gather information even while you're browsing the web. And since Google Notebook lives in your browser, you won't be left with a scattered collection of notes, Word docs, and browser bookmarks to sort through; all your web findings will be gathering into one organized, easy accessible location that you can access from any computer."This is pretty much like del.icio.us, and since it's Google and everyone and their mother (hi Mom!) uses Google, I fully expect that this will take off like crazy.
You must create a Google Account in order to use Google Notebook, and it supports Internet Explorer and Firefox.
Here's some of my thoughts. Google Notebook lives in the bottom of your browser. You click on Open Notebook, and then choose some text on the page. Click on "Add Note" and ta da! it's now in Google Notebook. You can add Subject Headings to make it nice and tidy, view it in full page mode, print your notebook, or make it public, when then allows your Notebook to be fully searchable by other Google Notebook-ers. This search feature however is not available right now, but should be fully up and running in a few days. You can also email your Notebook to other people.
So what do you think of Google Notebook? Vote in the poll:

This is great. This will make my research so much easier! And just so folks know, it says it may not work with Mac, but I’m using Firefox on OS X and it’s working beautifully.
will it site your source, where you got the information from? I would consider that hugely important.
