Windows Live Academic, Free Disney TV Shows, Freebie Finder and More

Wednesday April 12, 2006
There's a lot of fun stuff coming through my radar this morning; here's a quick rundown.

Windows Live Academic: Windows Live Academic is now up and running; more from the site: "We currently index content related to computer science, physics, electrical engineering, and related subject areas."

Free Disney TV Shows on the Web: From Yahoo News; "ABC will offer four prime-time shows including "Desperate Housewives" and "Lost" on its Web site for free for two months beginning in May as it continues to expand the ways consumers can watch TV online."

Find Free Stuff: Oh, I loves some free stuff, so the Absurdly Cool Freebie Finder, an "automated free stuff aggregator", was a nice surprise this morning.

Mobile Comparison Shopping: Via Chris Pirillo, I was able to check out Frucall, a service that "blends the benefits of in-store shopping with the flexible nature of shopping online; providing consumers with a unique mobile shopping experience."

Web 2.0 Gone A Bit Crazy: If you'd REALLY like to keep up with everything Web 2.0, you might want to meander over to BuzzShout, a site that takes user-submitted Web 2.0 (or any other newbie site), and then users can review those sites. Kind of cuts through the hype and actually finds out if it, you know, is actually USEFUL in some way other than just looking good with the big bubbly font and all.
