Wendy Boswell's Web Search BlogMovieLink - Download Movies Online Via Digital Inspiration, I just learned about MovieLink, a great new service where you can download major Hollywood movies. The site is not compatible with Firefox; which stinks, since according to Market Share Firefox is now in control of 10% of the browser market. You need to have the latest version of Internet Explorer to play with it - if you don't have it, you can download Internet Explorer.
Anyway, I digress-back to MovieLink. What is it and how does it work? From the site: "Movielink is changing the way America rents and purchases movies. No more trips to the video store. No DVDs to carry or return. Just fast, easy, legal movie downloads direct from the studios that you can watch at home or on the road."There's two ways to watch these movies: you can rent them for up to 30 days or you can out and out buy them. And there's nothing to pick up or mail or any of that mess; you're downloading them to your computer. Prices start at 8.99 and go up from there. That's the extent of the information on the site at this time, but CNN has more: "Hollywood studios will start selling digital versions of films such as "Brokeback Mountain" and "King Kong" on the Internet this week, the first time major movies have been available online to own.
