Game Shows Link Roundup
Wednesday March 22, 2006
I love watching game shows. I was a HUGE fan of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" when Regis Philbin was hosting it, and I love watching "The Price Is Right" (brings back good memories of being home sick from school, sipping chicken soup on my E.T. television tray...good times). Anyway, here's a few game shows links from around the Web:
- Game Show Network
official site; lots of fun interactive games here - Japanese Game Shows - The Nippon Television Network
the site is in Japanese but you can still click around and find something here - List of American Game Shows and Hosts
long, extensive list of game shows and hosts - Using a TV Game Show to Explain the Concept of a Dominant Strategy
a microeconomics experiment with the game show "Singled Out" - The Late Great Era of the Game Show
good article that explains our fascination with older game shows - Watt's That?
"the ONLY Internet energy game show" - The History of UK Game Shows
interesting look at some pretty wacky game shows - A Salute To Game Shows
includes history of specific game shows, how to compete on game shows, and much more

Hi,
Just thought you should know about a new website that has a downloadable guide written by a casting director that advices how to become a contestant on different types of game shows, reality shows, and talent shows. It is only ten dollars!
Thanks!
