MySpace Layouts and a bit of a Social Experiment

Thursday February 23, 2006
So, with all the constant hype surrounding MySpace, I decided that I would conduct a bit of an experiment. I just created a MySpace profile (finally), and I apparently am User 57 million and change, an amazing number. However, so far, I'm a bit unimpressed with the quality of the possible highly vaunted networking that's supposed to be happening, because this is what the Browse feature looks like:

LOL! I don't know if you can see the writing real well, but the search parameters include looking for someone who is Divorced, a Swinger, in a Relationship, etc. I know that MySpace is huge and there's probably some kind of weighty social importance behind it just for the sheer size of the thing, but I just couldn't help giggling at the sheer audacity of it all. It's a giant dating game with HTML.

The MySpace experiment: I'm inviting you all to come to my MySpace profile for the next two weeks. I want to see what kind of connections I can make, what makes MySpace so special, and if it's really worth the hype. I'll also share with you various MySpace tips and tricks that I come across or that you, the reader send in to me by sharing your thoughts in the comments below, or email me.

So, now I'm looking for some good MySpace layouts and I found a few to share with you:

When you look at the profiles of other people, click on their graphics (the ones that are clickable anyway) and it will show you the site that they found there graphics from. There are tons of sites out there dedicated to providing games, quizzes, icons, etc just for use on myspace – woo hoo! Hope this helps. ~j

There are lots of myspace resource sites out there but most have annoying popups and freeze up my PC.

You should try – HotFreeLayouts!
