Top 10 Free Public Records Search Picks

Free online access to public records is becoming more and more accessible. I've put together a Top Ten online list of public records sources for you that can make your public records search a bit easier.

Related: FirstGov is an absolutely mammoth search engine/portal that gives the searcher direct access to searchable information from the United States government, state governments, and local governments.I'm only going to go through basic highlights of FirstGov in this article - but this should give you enough to really get started with First Gov and find a ton of great government information.

I have not found any “Free” sites, they ALL take me to where I have to give a CC # and pay a fee… In my oppion that is not “FREE” at all.

Terry, could you please give an example? All the sites that I reference are free; if they are not free, I state that very clearly.
