Greatest Internet Moments
Monday November 7, 2005
Well, at least they're the greatest Internet moments according to the writer. Here's a sampling:
- Mr. Rogers Says "Hi Neighbor!" to the Internet: "When I saw that square former Presbyterian minister in his sweater, I knew that everyone - absolutely everyone - would be coming online."
- Homeland Security According to Bert and Ernie: "Okay, okay, we get the idea. Er, and what exactly are we supposed to do. Gauge how much we should panic uncontrollably? And isn't this just a ploy to distract us from the Illuminati's manipulation of the federal monetary reserve?"
- Hamster Dance:"The dancing hamster became a kind of legend - shorthand for the wild and irrational popularity that awaits us all somewhere on the internet."
