Dylan Thomas Reads His Poetry Online

By , About.com GuideOctober 7, 2005

Follow me on:

I about blew a gasket when I saw this via BoingBoing:

"Salon.com has got the entire, eleven-volume set of Dylan Thomas recordings from Caedmon as free MP3 downloads. Subscribers get 'em by clicking, others will have to watch a brief ad. This is stupendous: there are few writers in the history of the world who read their work as well as Thomas."

Oh, man. I memorized Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night in highschool:

"Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night."

On my way to download now.
