Useful Sites of the Day
Wednesday August 17, 2005
I was wandering 'round the Web going to my usual lineup of daily must-have's and suddenly realized, this would be a great blog post. The whole "kill two birds with one stone" bit and all. So! I give to you, dear readers, my roundup of Very Useful Sites that I've visited today.
- Copyscape: I write stuff for a living and sometimes there are other people out there that would like to copy it. I don't really care...much...I mean, I love a free ad and all, but if ya don't cite my link then that's called plagiarism. And that's bad! Bad!
- Bloglines: I don't really know what I did before Bloglines. Did I, you know, actually go to sites rather than just subscribing to their web feeds?
- Craigslist: Every single day I check stuff on here, whether it's job ads or furniture for sale or the crazy housing forum.
- del.icio.us: The place where I go to get the hip and the happenin'.
- Threadwatch: Nicely filtered technology news that I can specify to exactly what I want.
- FaganFinder: This is kind of a catchall SEO tool.
- Pink is the New Blog: Okay, perhaps not so much useful, but it's a good way to occupy myself while eyeing the huge pile of work I'm really supposed to be doing.
- DrudgeReport: Fresh, fast news delivered hot and steaming.
- Internet Archive: Excellent site for again, diverting oneself from aforesaid huge piles of work.
