Personalize Google with My Google

Sunday July 31, 2005
While on the subject of personalized portal or start pages (see My AOL Beta below), you might want to check out My Google, a way to personalize Google to be your own little starter home on the Web.

It's simple; all you have to do is create a Google account, and once you're signed in to any of the Google services (Gmail, etc.), you'll be able to access them all.

Here's my page screenshot (it's kinda small, but you can get a feel for how it looks when you do yours):

It's super easy to do. Just click on the"Add Content" text to the upper left hand corner, and a nifty little sliding window thingy allow you to pick and choose from News, Technology, Entertainment, Fun, etc. You can also drag and drop modules so everything looks exactly the way that you want it; I was able to position my GMail account on there.
