Engage.com, Another Way To Feel Awkward, Get Rejected, And/Or Find Your True Love

Tuesday July 26, 2005
This via SearchViews, I learned that there's yet another online dating site on the Web field called Engage.com. Okay, now is anyone else concerned that there might be a somewhat troubling sub-conscious undercurrent to the name of this site? Engage...let's get engaged...I just met you but I feel like you "get me"...kind of vibe? Hmm. Anyway, there's also a great quote by John Grey on the front page (Men are From Mars guy):
"Engage.com gets it right by encouraging singles to put their family and friends to work on their love life."
Criminy! I can't think of anything I would dread more than putting my family "to work on my love life." I mean, I'm happily married so it's not an issue, but can you imagine?

Engage.com is a social networking site, of which I've profiled many this last coupla months. Learn more about LinkedIn.com, a job search engine with a social networking twist, trust issues, and the power of consumer generated media.
