I'm not a good graph and chart reader, but these Wikipedia growth charts are pretty dang cool. Basically, Wikipedia has grown to be an enormously popular search destination for many people. It's an online free encyclopedia that "is being written collaboratively by people from around the world in several languages." Here's how it works:
"Wikipedia is an encyclopedia written collaboratively by many of its readers. Lots of people are constantly improving Wikipedia, making thousands of changes an hour, all of which are recorded on the page history and the Recent Changes page. Nonsense and vandalism are usually removed quickly."So if you look up something about cats and find that you are not agreeing with the person who stated that cats can't use a vacuum cleaner, you can add your opinion. Here's some more Wikipedia info:
- Take a Tutorial: Learn the nuts and bolts of what makes this site tick.
- FAQ: A collection of Wikipedia FAQ.
- Community Portal: Learn about tasks you can complete, collaborations of the week, and lots more.
