Harry Potter Web Resources
Sunday July 17, 2005
Well, we got Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince at 3:45 Saturday afternoon, and my ten year old is now finished with it, Sunday morning, 8:23 AM, after reading it pretty much all night. Since he's bugging me for places to see on the Web about Harry Potter, I thought I would share some of our favorites with you.
- HPANA.org: This is a Harry Potter news aggregator; it's won an official JK Rowling cool site award as well.
- Formats and Editions of Harry Potter 6: Good resource from our very own Children's Books guide.
- Harry Potter 6 Rumors and Facts: Very cool information about Harry Potter rumors and otherwise, from About's Parenting Teens Guide.
- J.K.Rowling Official Site: Very cool site; lots of animation, so have your browser enabled for Flash.
- MuggleNet.com: "The Ultimate Harry Potter Site"; lots of good stuff here.
- The Harry Potter Lexicon: Winner of a J.K. Rowling Fan Site Award, so you know it's gotta be good.
- The Leaky Cauldron: All things Harry Potter; right now, they've got an imminent article from a two hour interview they did recently with Ms. Rowling.
- Harry Potter Fanlisting: What is a fanlisting? From Wikipedia: "A fanlisting is a website created by a fan of a particular subject, with the aim of gathering together a list (either in database format or hardcoded HTML) of other fans of that particular subject."
- Google News search with the keywords "Harry Potter."
- Technorati; all blog posts tagged "Harry Potter."
- Bloglines search for "Harry Potter."
- Audio and Video search from SingingFish.com; anything to do with Harry Potter. Lots of trailers, etc.
- Flickr photos tagged with "Harry Potter."
- Wikipedia Harry Potter Page: Very nicely done; includes the original cover of Harry Potter the Philosopher's Stone (Sorcerer's Stone in the States).
