Find Quotations with ThinkExist.com

Monday July 11, 2005
I love finding a good quotation. My favorites lately are all by Jack Handy, and I was able to find a good many of them with ThinkExist.com, a search engine solely dedicated to finding quotations.

More than 150,000 quotations by over 12,000 authors are available as stated on the home page, and you can search by quotations, authors, topics, keywords, and more. You also can register (free) and start saving a list of your favorite or most frequently searched for quotations. And if you really are into quotations, you can add a Dynamic Daily Quotation to your website or blog....kind of like this one:

"As the light changed from red to green to yellow and back to red again, I sat there thinking about life. Was it nothing more than a bunch of honking and yelling? Sometimes it seemed that way. - Deep Thoughts (Saturday Night Live)."

Related: I wrote about Dave Davies' great article "The Anatomy of a Search Engine" a couple weeks ago, and also search engines and Trivial Pursuit.
